Hey,
Where are people going snowkiting this weekend? We should have some good wind. I'd like to check out Melvin, if there is some snow ad not only ice.
Can't wait for Saturday.

Might be able to get out for a couple hours this weekend. Not 100% sure yet though.
If the snow that was on melvin froze hard then it'd be good to go but i haven't been up there since last weekend so i'm not sure.

The snow on Melvin is a mix
The snow on Melvin is a mix of adhered windslab and loose.
The recent cold hasn't allowed any melting since last weekend but the wind has been steady and packed it down quite a bit especially in the south east corner at the inlet.
Winds are supposed to be NW Sat/Sun which works best at Melvin IMO.

Melvin or Ossipee?
tomorrow looks like the day (sunday they're saying the winds should die out with high pressure moving in).
Melvin and Ossipee look pretty close, so we can decide where on the drive up tomorrow. I'd prefer Ossipee, just to try a new place, but wherever the snow/wind looks best.
I'm bringing all my camera gear too. see yall tomorrow!
