Sunday 2/21
Sunday looks to be the windier of the two weekend days, although maybe a degree or 2 colder than Saturday. Looking to go out on the North Shore, and would love some company.
Wingaersheek and Dog beach seem to be the best options in the NW but with the water being 33 degrees i would rather not have any interaction with the Annisquam river riptide and waves up in Gloucester. So i was thinking of Dog.
Whose with me?
I am probably going to hit the cape either Chapin or Falmouth.
Is Duxbury an Option in a NW
On the inside, Dux works on a W-NW. Its gusty though but that's pretty standard for a NW wind.
I can be at the Duxbury Beach in the blink of an eye so if you guys end up heading out there if you could message me on masskiting that would be great.
On cape tonight where we going tommorrow?

Forecast says 18 mph on the cape, 20mph in dux. But I'm still tempted to go to chapin. It's so beautiful there. Is the ice already gone?
When is high-tide?
Do you need a sticker to go to high pines?
not in the winter im pretty sure.
yup, all year long.
The point is to stay off their radar... and to them, that means have a sticker.
"no"
can you get a ticket? i dunno. but the locals have asked that everyone be "legal" if you go to kite there, to prevent future issues. plus, you don't wanna be that guy.
Theyre never there in the winter though. But yeah your right if they are then You probly need a sticker. The harbor master guys have never given me any crap though in the winter. But I think its because I have duxbury dragons plate covers and a duxlax sticker so maybe its cuz im a local.
They stopped by today and checked stickers. I have a 2010-2011 sticker and they where OK with that even though its not valid for another month.
O, didnt realize. I guess theyre just interested if they see people kiting then.
yeah I was there yesterday. The ice is gone. High was at like 2 something. So I think High willbe around 3.
Well Ill either be at Duxbury or Chapin so idk.
Ill give chapin a shot tomorrow am. 9:30am?
Ill see you there if Airsupport says the conditions are good.
Folks,
I think north shore 2morrow is a better option.. Wingaersheek looks promising so far...
I'm hoping to kite there 2morrow..
Drove 2 Chapin twice this week and nothing on NW...
Address for Wingaersheek in case you like to check it out:

Will be talking to sam in the am but assuming wind is up will plan on getting to chapin by 10am if not earlier. would be nice to be on the water by 10.
Dave, I am trying to do the same thing with my 15m but tomorrow will really test my 11.5m.
If anyone wants to touch base in the am text me at 508 728 7840
otherwise I'll see you there!
you dont drive to chapin for a northwest in the afternoon.NW on the cape is always morning. Ikite surf is always wrong here I only use them as a rough estimate. I've kited three mornings in a row and lit till noon with a decline as the heat of the day cancels out the wind.
Is that really the correct address? I looked on google maps and it's directly in the river inlet. What about the long beach in the west?
(Never been in winga, probably going today)
Got the address from gmaps the address is for the parking lot u need to walk down the beach!
If you gmap this address and put satelite mode u'll see the parking area
Wingaersheek is a no go today! the wind is all over the place and now has shifted and cape looks promissing today is one of those days of 50/50 either score an awesome sesh or nothing..
But north shore is out for me at the moment!
Chapin is 17MPH right now not bad!
Not sure what to do!
Just check and winga is blowing 24 right don't get it...

The last time i was in Dux there was a lot of current, made for interesting up/downwind movement.
Nahant has a significantly greater distance for the wind to even out over, much more than the inlet width at Dux. Should make for more even pressure in the W/NW direction.
Still looking for some company.
