Anybody use a tide watch? Do you find it useful? Accurate? If so, any brand/style recommendations? Analog vs. digital? Thanks!

Casio G-shock Glide-5600

I use a casio G-shock glide and its great. The time keeping is super accurate and the tide set up gives you enough flexibility to dial in to the conditions at a particular beach. The internals are Casio number 3151 if you want to check out the functionality of it on the Casio web site. Also, it is water resistant to 200 meters so you don't have to worry about flooding it while kiting.

If there is one thing I wish it had, that would be the ability to store settings for multiple beaches, maybe 3.

It seems like most of the watches I've checked out offer the ability to set one "custom" beach, but you're right, it would be awesome if could set up to three. Anyone know if there's a watch that allows for multiple custom beaches? Thanks, oldcolonial!

Silly...

It's that time of year, don't worry about looking silly with the iphones trapped on, if you have board shorts on over your wetsuit, you look silly anyway!LOL

I check out ikite for tide info prior to session then some quick subtraction or addition of 6 works well for ball parking high, low, mid tide etc..

U can get free tide info also on line.
