Tuesday Afternoon Delight?
Looking to head over to Revere beach today after work. Looking like it will be a solid SW this afternoon. Who wants to join me?
I'm going to cut the work day a little short if I can. I'd like to hit the water around 4pm because I'll have to leave the beach by 6pm. Will anyone be at Revere at that time?
I cant make revere but I can def hit dux. Anyone going and have a beach sticker? Will probably head over right after work at 5 should be there by 5:15
Hi Eric, how are you? I will try to get to revere at 4pm today...I am also a beginner (going back and forth but still learning transitions...) and have not been to Revere before but my friend Russ went last week and said it was great...he and I went to north carolina together last month and took lessons, made a lot of progress...do you meet by the dunkin donuts at revere? let me know, I will plan to be there...

I'll look forward to meeting you. The launch area is between Dunkin Donuts and the bath house (around #450 on Revere Beach Blvd I believe). It sounds like others we be there already so you can't miss the kites on the beach.
There are some plover restriction towards the north end of the beach (i.e. downwind from launch today) so make sure to check the beach section on this site.
I'm going to head over to revere at about 2-3pm, so I'll be there! Anyone else going to be there earlier?
ya man im gonna try to be there as early as possible im at work but gonna try to jet early. u can call me when u get there at 781-704-1178
I'm a little hesitant to go to Revere in SW. I've been there recently in SSW. It was gusty but O.K. It seemed straight sideshore so I guess SW might be slightly side off and gustier. With the Plovers there we can't go further down the beach where we might get cleaner wind. The IKitesurf meter right now shows SW 8-25. Maybe it will switch to SSW?
For those that kite there in SW- is it super gusty? Beginner friendly or not?
I'm still body dragging. Would anyone fathom a guess if Revere or Nahant is a better bet for a n00b around 6pm today? If anyone wants to practice with me today, let me know. All advice is welcome!
Since you are doing body dragging don't use your biggest kite since is gust up to 25 mph

Yeah, SW is good at Revere and you're definitely right about it being gusty. But, I noticed when I get off the beach the wind tends to be more consistent. So, its not bad at all.
High tide is at 5:30 today so for those getting to the beach then the water will be over your head. But, it is an awesome spot to learn when its low tide because you can walk way out!
