Hi all. I have read these two recommendations about safety, which are different than the generally advised practices:

(1) Anchor leash to the front of the harness (as shown here: http://i870.photobucket.com/albums/ab262/4w7s/IMGP3309.jpg). I also recommend the kitemare explained in that forum http://www.kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=2376771).

(2) During self rescue, do not wrap the lines, but just pull the safety line to quickly get to the kite (as explained here: http://50.23.74.196/forums/Kitesurfing/General/Self-rescue-problem/)

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Thank you for the links, very

Thank you for the links, very good. I have a question regarding the last point to rescue without wrapping lines. Would you unhook but leave the safety leash attached? If yes, you drag the bar still behind you but maybe this is already good enough to not get tangled with your feet in all of the lines. I've done it before without wrapping lines but stayed hooked in. I did struggle a bit with lines around my feet. How are you guys doing it?

best video I've seen.....

I'd personally do it this way, using the half-hitch to secure the line lengths are safe, then wrap. Wrapping keeps the loose ends from wrapping around body parts, but I taught myself to wrap w/o using fingers (touching the bar only).
