Videos not about kiting
I have acquired a fan base amongst the area kiters for my videos, so I thought I would share with you some shorts Jamie and I produced on topics other than kiting. Since they are not about kiting per se, I am not placing them in the videos page, but if you think they should be, I can change that.
Jean you know the one I prefer!
Guys watch the Colorado one! Jean's dad is backing up on the interstate!! BIG time
Very nice. You have inspired me to do some more video work for our family trips. I know it won't touch the level of quality you achieve but I think they will still serve to reinforce our remembrances.
Pete
Maybe make a section in the videos for non-kiting members videos as these sorts of videos are good fun:
Here is an old one of mine, from last winter. 90% kids/ beach stuff, 10 % kites
good to watch if your thinking about a trip to DR with little kids = awesome. be sure to crank up volume
not quite Jean editing quality though!
Jean, cool videos. I am just finishing up my first year with an RV. I have three young kids, a fourth on the way. We did a lot of RV trips this past year and I got a ton of pictures and videos. This fall I bought an iMac because I decided I wanted to make some movies of our trips. Watching your videos on here inspired me. I just finished putting it together using iMovie. It was more time consuming than I imagined, but really fun. I am going to show it to our whole family on Christmas. Good tip about getting a lot of footage. I wish I had more to work with. But now I know for next year.
Check out my first kiting video from November at W Dennis.
The first half of the year I just used my iPhone for pics and videos. Then I bought a Kodak Sport waterproof (flip-type) hand held camera. The quality seems ok. But I know it can be better.
Jean, do you have any suggestions for a high quality/small form factor video camera?
That was a great day for a downwinder.
The first time I heard Listomania I thought it would be perfect for a kite video.
Here is the trailer I put together for my family movie from the summer. And yes the RV was stuck in the sand in that last shot. Trying to get on Sandy Neck Beach. Adventure at it's best. RV'ing, like kiteboarding, is not for the faint of heart.
Dunoyer- Love it! "My dad's not a normal dad. He's more like a big kid". Sounds about right.
Chuck's Road Trip is really funny too! Great stuff.
Some serious launching issues that day! Great video though

The trick is to shoot lots and cut it short.
