Weather
Jean is pretty good with his resources and I have had many conversations with him about our conditions. So I wanted to share this email that will hopefully benefit more than me. Now part of this email is to get the other resources that we all use on the table. So please leave your posts to contribute to a new section of the site.

My personal favorite:
I like the real time data generated by anemometers maintained and calibrated.
The forecasts are a little more reliable than other sources, but still need to
be
taken with a grain of salt. The big draw back is that they charge $100 a year.
All of the other sites mentioned below are free:
http://windguru.com/int/index.php?sc=81
The forecasts are purely based computer models, so not very reliable but can
give you an idea.
http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/maps/Northeast.shtml
can be a good source for free real time data. I also like the wave heights
reading, so I can anticipate what size surf to expect, and sea surface
temperatures to gauge the amount of neoprene I should wear.

If you click around the interactive map, you can get NOAA marine forecasts for
wave heights, visibility, and wind strengths, and on land they will give you air
temperature ranges.
shows some appealing graphical information of modeling results. I have not
used this site much.
http://www.windfinder.com/weatherforecast/chatham_cape_cod
much like windguru
Hope this helps

great resources, steve honey has the inside line on what mother nature is cooking up
from Beantown surf:
It's not "the depression", it's a Tropical Depression.....It's been a slow start to the season, but Tropical Depression Two (TD 2) is located out in the Atlantic about 630 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands. Top winds at this time are 35 mph. TD 2 may strengthen into Tropical Storm "Anna" in the next day or two. For more info and the latest updates, click on the National Hurricane Center tab in the Surf Report links section (on the right). Pray for surf!!
this ones pretty good
Dude's is going just miss the cape for couple miles
Its worth looking at Weather Underground, particularly in the Winter as they show data from many private (homes etc.) weather stations that are pumping data. For inland lakeside conditions this can be pretty helpful.
