I probably should have asked this before I bought my 14m SS Rally just yesterday Smile ; but I am still curious: What is the largest kite you have for those slow summer days?

12 meter, but I have demoed

12 meter, but I have demoed the 17 meters and they are pretty nice if you ride them with a skim or a surfboard.

17 meter Ozone Zephyr, I weigh 170#

I have an Ozone Zephyr, 17 meter with 27 meter lines. I ride at about 170#. I can't really say how it compares to your kite in terms of pull. It has probably gotten me 150-200 hours of riding time I would not have otherwise enjoyed in the year and change that I have owned it.

Switchblade...the session saver

I have a 16m Switchblade with a 138 Crazyfly All Around that puts those light wind days to shame....

Board

14 will do fne with a big board or surfboard. The difference between that and a 16 or 17 paired with the right board (and skills) is marginal. I almost prefer to fly my 12 with my surfboard than my 17 since it gives me greater range if the wind picks up. Plus smaller kites are easier to fly (and pump up).

Light wind days with a Surfboard are fun. I've yet to try it with a skim.

The surfboard sans straps is

The surfboard sans straps is mandatory in my mind for light air days. It is so much fun. However I recently got a 17m TS from Best and pared it with a course board....HOLY SHIT! Not the cheapo route but the performance and ability to go almost twice the windspeed downwind is freaking ridiuclous. The TS relaunches really nicely also.
