Hey All,
I have some time Saturday morning to kite, and it looks like the wind will be mid-teens from the North on the cape.

I have only had one session up on my board(with an instructor), so, not much experience.

Are there any beaches that would be good for me this weekend? (I live in Framingham, so closer than the cape is better too)

Gracias,

Nahant

I'm in the same boat as you, one water lesson with an instructor and looking for my first session on my own. My gf has a lesson at Nahant around 2:30 so I'll be there then.

Anybody know what Long Beach Nahant is like after Labor Day? Any restrictions? Is Dog Beach a no-go for beginners?

chapin

Chapin is your best bet on a wind with a north component. Its a long drive but at mid tides it is very beginner friedly.

Chapin

Does Chapin get crowded with other kiters or is there plenty of room? Haven't been there in a while.

Chapin is huge....it can hold

Chapin is huge....it can hold 100 kiters, yet still have enough room for you to have your own space. One of my favorite spots on the east coast...hopefully I make it back someday to get a session there.

at high tide, Chapin is a bit

at high tide, Chapin is a bit of a shit show, not much beach and a steep sand dune. I often opt for Mayflower, a half mile to the East.
