Chatham Saturday 9/25/10 session
Well, first of, my session started on Friday around 7pm after checking the next day forecast and getting some tips on how to use the camera from lodyyy @ PBay
So I was too excited on Friday night and I had a really hard time falling asleep. I probably only slept about 4 hours and next morning I was up around 5:30am and ready to hit the road but since I had told my friends that we would meet @8am so I still had another 2 1/2 of long wait...
When I finally met my friends @ Weymouth, I put all the gear into Habibi's car and off we wen baby!
So we drove to Chatham and upon arrival the wind was blowing about 20MPH. I wasn't sure if I should put up a 9 or 11 so I said: "you know, I'm going with my 11M because I want to be powered today since my last session was 3 weeks ago and today is "THE" day baby..
Pumped the 11M, put the camera on the backpack inside my plastic housing and left to the water.
Arrived at the flats and no one was there
Felt really important at that moment just like a "LOCAL" guy would... So landed my kite and started taking some pictures of Sam which you can see on the link bellow.. Then Sam decided to take a break and take some pictures of us which you can see too...
As the day progressed some folks arrived and the party started with the throw down area Leo and Kirk. They pulled were super insane kiteloops, unhooked, you name it… they did it.
Anything you would ask them they would say: "Okay, this is how it is done... So if you want to check it just go to the links bellow for part 1 and part 2.. .
Overall we took about 3K of pictures and I wish I could post them all here but don't want to use up all the storage capacity of the site.
So I hope you enjoy seeing the pictures, and remember that I'm still learning how to use the camera. So, if you'd like to give some extra tips please feel free.
P.S If you want to check about 2K photos in full HD bellow is the links!

Some big stuff being thrown down in the harbor and the carnage that comes with.
Den,
I am so happy to see that you are willing to take the time to share your pictures here! They are awesome. The session report maxes out at 100 pictures I think. The originals are then available for download. The gallery hold even larger originals so the very best of the best put them there as well. But what I recommend is use a program like Picasa to import your photos. Then you can tag the ones you like(you drop a pin). I see that you take continuous pictures and a program like picasa will let you view 7 similar pictures for the best one. After looking through 2,000 pictures starring/tagging along the way you can get the number below 100. I ofen go back through top reduce more. The more you reduce the better a photographer you appear to be as the quality goes up for the product you share in the end. Then you can export them to a file and select the .jpg size. I keep the originals(.raw - .nef) and spin off .jpgs and mark folder to "ok to delete" It takes the 100 shots and makes jpgs of say 1600x????. When MASSkiting imports them it will resize so don't bother to shrink them too much(though leaving full size will take forever).
The thing you gain my using Picasa or Adobe Bridge to select allows you to better showcase your abilities by reducing the duplicates. No one will actually look through all your pictures. Its better to bring the cream to the top. I take 1,000 pictures to put 40 on MASSkiting. A photographer will end up with 10. Its good to take allot but the skill is ability to reduce it down. That way in the end what you have is most powerful representation of what you are sharing.
Either way I am stoked to see that you are getting amazing shots. But dont give away that it might take allot of shutter clicks to get the good ones. Let people think each one is PERFECT by sorting. I also take .RAW .NEF shots which are not processed. Then I make Jpg's as I said above. Use photoshop to process your very best images vs taking jpgs. If you use picasa as I am saying you will make jpg before sharing the photos. Once you mess with a .NEF in photoshop you will see how much you can do. Lightroom to has cool special effects.
Nice pics!
Bring that camera all the time!
Looks great Den! next time I'm calling you to see where YOU go.
Dont know how missed these pics but they are great of you Den.. Good to see you again today!

Johnny,
Yo hey thanks for all the tips here and would love to talk more about it so you can pass on some knowledge on software and how to better manage the picx..
I did took some RAW phots but haven't processed them yet since I'm new into picx stuff..
I think this weekend can be a good conversation at the camping and hope you and other folks can share the knowledge
Thanks again for the feedback much appreciated that way we can improve the session reports!
