First Encounter
Six hour 18-23 knot session at First Encounter yesterday with Brad, Steve, and some of the locals. The 10AM low tide start required a long walk out to the water. Then one of the fins fell off my Mako 150(board was handling like crap and I thought I was drunk or hypothermic or something until I noticed water shooting up through the holes where the screws were supposed to be.) Two more long walks to get repaired and back on the water. About 3 PM I managed to get my board stuck on the bottom landing a jump and sprained my ankle so I took a little video of Steve and some of the locals:
That Slingy board looks familiar!
Glad to see its being put to good use.
Who was doing the handlepass??
It's so cool to see the video from the day! You got my first wobbly back roll attempt. I can see how I stalled about 3/4 way around. Thanks for posting Paul!
Ilya- I know the Slingshot Surf is old and outdated (like me) but I like it. I'm sure it wasn't a good board for P-Bay though.
I don't know the local that was doing the handlepass.
Nice vid Paul, but my fingertips went numb watching it. Steve...I see you saved your tricks until I left...looking good.
Brad, you missed my best crashes too! You were a kiteloop animal. Every time I looked over you were looping that 9M.
