You should lose the straps Brah. Maybe they're good on a 505 but no need on a surfboard if you're a real surfer.

My bad. I guess you were just hiking strapless and Mike was holding the boat down while you balanced on the rail. If you're good enough to kite a surfboard and and surf one you can ride strapless. You'll be surprised how easy it is. Aloha.

What gear did you use?
Also, you probably already know that but if you don't, GoPro makes these little moisture absorbing strips you can put inside the case on each side of the camera, to prevent lens fogging.

8m Havoc
I was riding an 8m Liquid Force Havoc and my 6"0' Naish Global that day - seemed like a pretty good setup for those conditions. Good advice on the GoPro - that was actually my buddies camera and helmet setup so I'll let him know - thx.

There were a few guys rippin it strapless the day before (Thursday which was the bigger day) which was really impressive. I'm not there yet....still a relative newbie to kiting. And for the record there are no footstraps on a 505.....
