See video

Made another kitemount video on saturday. Tried to edit  all the kite rotation out. on some of it I zoomed in so you can't see the black box roatting like crazy, and other clips I stayed zoomed out for a wider view..but the black box is distracting..gives a good feel for what the kite is doing though

I think 22m is what the new rrd bars come with. 20 is about the low end for me and 25 is a bit long...but nice for light air. I find with shorter lines than 20m the kite finshes the turn too quickly and im not ready for the next turn yet..but other like em

Though they are bit shorter now after this am's bad landing 50+ gusts

Damn, Peter, you can really

Damn, Peter, you can really read those waves -- it helps to have been a surfer, I think.  Seeing the black rectangle is really helping me see how you time the motion of the kite with the surfboard turns.  The kite leads slightly.

yes with onshore wind the

yes with onshore wind the kite leads quite a bit..turn the kite and then let it pull you through the turn..and as you go up the face start redirecting the kite back toward the beach so it doesn't get behind. A fast turning kit that drifts back well really helps.  As it gets more sideshore you can wait a bit and need less kite motion.

Learned to wave ride mostly on windsurfer..surfing came later for me only  in my mid twenties and only really did it consistently for a few years.  Kiting is different for wave ridng as you have power in any direction so really good mobility to postition just riggth on the wave..especially in onsore wind where a windsurfer is tough to keep powered straight dowwind

and sky yes gotta get some good supping sessions soon

yes..up late last night

yes..up late last night editing!

Tha was witha panasonic ts3 waterproof point & shoot type camera. The gopro footage I have seen is a little too wide angle for kitemount...makes the rider look tiny, maybe zooming in would work. Gorpros work really well with a string mount closer to the rider from some of the online vids I have seen

Great

Great video and kiting. Wish I could do that. I wonder if there is video editing software   that would replace the black borders with an expansion of the peripheral portion of the images so as to remove the visual distraction? Sort of like some broadcasters do when they broadcast regular def TV on a HDTV channel.

Was that the religion 9m?
