Well the sun was out so I put on my kite cam and made a video that look like every other one i've ever made. Thanks to the nice lady who gave me ride back to the town lot from gooseberry. she even pulled u turn and went out of her way to give me a lift after everyone else passed, and was playing this clapton/cale tune..

new board?

Looks like a nice day at the horse....spent that weekend teaching my 4 year old some downhill skiing on man made snow at Killington. Kiting may have been a better option.....between visiting my sick mom at the hospital and trying to ski from our seasonal rental at the Beast, I seemed to be on a forced kiting hiatus, very depressing.

Was that a new Streth board? Looked thin, bamboo construction?

yes, thin with bamboo deck

yes, thin with bamboo deck and bottom and carbon rails. A bit lighter than the pvc. He says just as strong... we'll see. Had them put more rocker in this one so snappier especially off the the top.

new board

Do you like it so far and would recommend? Is it too light weight in the choppy conditions of higher wind or just about right? What are the dimensions on the new Stretch? I am looking to replace my 5'8" by 18" wide Stretch PVC board with a lighter weight model, I use that size for moderate to high wind waves and might go down to 17.75" or 17.5" wide for better higher wind performance.

Don't think I will ever replace my bigger 6'2" by 18.75" Stretch EPS board which I love to try and ride strapless on lighter wind days.

I really like it on a wave

I really like it on a wave face as the increased rocker makes it more turny for smaller waves and much snappier on a top turn. It is ahigh wind board for me but have only used it in lightish wind so have struggled to keep to windward. For just riding around the I think the heavier ones with lower rocker are a bit better. They go upwind better and are smoother through chop. For a darwn out carved turn both are similiar. only for a tight snappy turn does the increased rocker help.

This one is 5'9" by 17.75 with 1.25" tail rocker. You are welcome to try it anytime. My older high wind board was pvc 5'8 by 17.25 with 0.5" tail rocker. that one is a high wind machine... if you really want aboard for nuking conditions that is the one to get, but the one you have is probably pretty good allround for windy conditions, doubt you are gonna do much better than that

I got lazy and stopped doing

I got lazy and stopped doing the rotation corrections after three waves. So those are better watched on a phone or tablet where you can rotate the device. I should make a game where you have to rotate the phone as fast as the kiter turns the kite to get points...the top level would be teahupoo.

This video has me mesmerized. I learn so much from watching these, and your framing correction is really working.
