Chatham Boat Assisted Riding
This was a great session! Got out at 11:00 am and took a short boat ride to the slicks across from Hardings. Rode there with Katie for about an hour. Next we went to a slick between North and South Monomoy Islands. Again outstanding riding, this time in warm, ankle to waist deep water.
The session ended when a giant window opened up on my 8 meter ozone at about 15:00. Until then fun was had by all. I am hoping the damage to the kite is covered under warranty. Its only the kite's second day in the air and there was no crash to have brought on the tear. Pictures to come.
The boat support was provided by Bob Wright. at www.fishwright.com. If you are a beginner who is just getting up or someone who wants a tour of the local spots off Chatham with the luxury of boat support, Bob is worth calling. His rates are reasonable, he knows how to handle a boat and certainly knows his way around. Also, a genuinely nice guy.
Pictures to come.
I think you have nailed the ultimate newbie spot. Was there at sunset.
Seems Ozone should own up to the failure in this case. Remember, their number one goal is a satisfied customer, so they now have a chance to set it right.

No sunset on the water. We caught it from the house we are renting nearby. I felt so good about the riding that the failure of my new kite did not even bother me. The reality of an expensive repair or worse are sinking in now although I am still hopeful that Ozone, the kite's maker, will hook me up.
Pictures are sill on the way.
