Halloween High (Pines)

With warm weekend winds blowing hard from the south, a few of us that couldn't make the drive to the Cape due to time constraints, decided to head to Dux. We arrived at the beach around 11AM to some serious wind (somewhere in the mid to upper 20's) and near 70 degree temps.

The 8's and 9's got pumped up along with Jermy's 11m and Trevor's 10m. Jermy got on the water first and after about 10 minutes was coming in due to the the wind continuing to build (his 11m looked like it was going to get ripped apart). I was on the water second with my 8m Rise and quickly followed by Trev on his 10m, Chris on a demo 9m Wainman, Julian on a demo 9m Wainman, and JD on his 7m Wainman.

The next hour or so was a blur of big air, some killer wipeouts, and some survival kiting. As the tide dropped the wind built and built. The 10's and 9's began t0 come off the water along with my 8m. We shot some insane video before breaking out JD's Wainman Bunny 5m.

The 5m was insane! Such a fun kite to ride as we passed it around shooting pictures and videos for the next hour or so. The kite is rock solid and fun to fly even though it's so small. By this time the 5m was totally lit and we were all just trying to hang on.

Called it a day around 4PM with temps still close to 70 and winds in the 30s. An epic Halloween with the crew.
