Nauset Beach to ChathamCut

N to NNW in the mid 20's 12M kites. We also had a cameo by a new kiter, Billy "The Wax Man".

After a staggering, sluggish start. We experienced a little carnage through the shore break as some powerful whitewater jacked my board up and christned my helmet with a nice Mike Tyson ding. Glad my board got a ding versus my head!LOL

The waves were big and punishing on the inside and large rolling swells on the outside with some barelling on the way in. The wind was pulling you off the wave due to swell and wind combo direction but this allowed you to bomb down the wave face fast versus cutting across it. The nice part was hearing the crashing behind you as white watter started slamming in your perihperal. About 1/2 way, we stopped for a break since Billy's foot was sore and I was recuperating from a Whirlpool session after mistiming a shore break exit strategy. Off we went as I led the way for a bit. The waves starting running more diagonal to the shore which made for some nice roller coaster type rides on the outside. Things cleaned up well as we got to the new chatham cut which i thought was the old chatham cut. There was a crazy whitewater scene near a house that sticks out of the water! The waves were super clean and jacked up on the outside with a nice side-off wind.

After playing around in these for awhile, we ended up cruising over towards The Cut/Lighthouse and had some excellent rides in on the way. I was stoked so I headed back out and ended my session with the patented Robby Naish kitesurf Table Top jump to Air Support's amazement.

Thanks jay for charging ahead with confidence and showing me the time of my life on the outside of the Cape also known as 'Kiting with Whitey'.

Can't wait till next time and with a bigger posse too and some side on or off winds.
