Wet, blustry, gusty wave day at Nahant.
After experiencing 40mph winds at Yirell it was off to Nahant via Revere.
Revere was spooky, virtually no wind@!
At Nahant, Waller and I arrived an hour before high tide and it was alreay surging to the dunes. After much cussing, line untangling, lost and found glove missions an d seaweed line shaking, we managed to make it out. It was cold, blustry and gusty with shoulder to head high sets.
Waller got hip checked by a wave and experienced the dreaded, should I pull mL and/or leash as the wave sets were washing over him. A feeling I have been familiar with myself from time to time.
I managed to work my way back and forth and eventually ended up having a sweet session in the corner near the houses/D&D. I was on an 8m which went from underpowered to totally powered up every 15 seconds. I walked back up to the bath house a few times and did some nice downwinders smacking the lip and riding the wave in toeside.
Kristof managed a couple of great pics from his warm car and managed to brave the elements to come down and yell at me, 'u are crazy Skyrocket' and then ran back to his car!LOL
Packed up and met a kiter from FL in the lot. We went over with Skipper to Yirell and Winthrop at that point wind had dropped off and it had dropped 10 degrees and was about to start to sleet so we called it a day.
Nice session but one you really had to work for!
Enjoy the pics.
