I went to Yirrel last saturday to try out my new board. Met with Julian and SouthieKiter (i think). Conditions were maybe a little too sketchy for me as a beginner so I never got in the water. Those guys looked to be having fun. I took a few pics with my iphone which explains the low quality.

Sorry been slacking. I just saw this thanks fir the report. After a kooky start things went well, had a great time.

Important lesson learned by Julian: if you leash to your spreader bar or spreader bar straps and your harness strap breaks or comes undone you have to watch your (brand new) kite fly away.

Waves were killer, breaking down the line. The flat water pool was open.
