About Hardwater Kiter

I live and grew up in North Conway NH. Owner @ Hardwater Kiting(www.hardwaterkiting.com)a privately owned company that specializes in snow kite specific guide services and certified IKO instruction. We are also the only authorized Northern New England dealer of Ozone, Flysurfer, Peter Lynn and HQ kites.

I was a tester and team rider for Peter Lynn Kiteboarding, testing and racing kites for Peter Lynn Kiteboarding for 5 years. My disciplines are speed and endurance. I let my sponsorships go when I started Hardwater Kiting.

FWIW My official top speed on a kite is 76.6mph.

Kiteboarding Skill Level:
Pro -competition
How and where did you Learn?:
Self taught on local lakes and fields in and around North Conway N.H. and the Mount Washington Valley. I'm not a water rider, strictly a winter kiter. I've been snowkiting for 14 years. Some years I manage to ride over 2000 miles in a season. I got certified to instruct snowkiting by the IKO while in Quebec. I got into snowkiting because I'm a skier bored with the limited backcountry in the region and tired of wasting time on a chairlift.
Favorite Spots:
Remote, cold and windy with room to run.
Favorite Session & Trips:
With all the riding I get in I've been lucky to get a lot of great sessions. Some of my favorite trips have been racing the Mille Lacs Kite Crossing and the WISSA Worlds. I love huge open spaces, I love touring by kite. Some of my favorite trips have been to Lac St. Jean, Kitestorm and Lake Nipissing, St.Ignace. It's great to be able to ride two great lakes in one day.
How much gear have you trashed?:
I try not to trash my gear. Just the one Charger. But I go through a lot of skis.

Welcome Chris. Lots of us

Welcome Chris. Lots of us started out on snow then found out the season is a lot longer on water (although winds tend to be light in summer.) Where are you planning to kite?
