I live and grew up in North Conway NH. I'm an IKO certified snowkite instructor and owner of Hardwater Kiting and Eastside Bike Guides (www.hardwaterkiting.com / eastsidebikeguides.com)a privately owned company that offers instruction and guide services for snowkiting in the winter and mountain biking in the summer. I'm one of 3 North American Peter Lynn sponsored snowkiters and my disciplines are speed and endurance. I snowkite course race periodically.

I have a blog www.hardwaterkiter.blogspot. Some people like it some people hate it but I'm just happy to have the opportunity to write it and have people read it.

Favorite Session & Trips:

With all the riding I get in I've been lucky to get a lot of great sessions. Some of my favorite trips have be racing the Mille Lacs Kite Crossing, WISSA Worlds. I love huge open spaces and I love riding far enough from shore that you lose sight of land. Just for fun trips to Lac St. Jean, Kitestorm and Lake Nipissing, St.Ignace. It's great to be able to rid two great lakes in one day.

Favorite Spots:

Remote, cold and windy with room to run.

How and where did you Learn?:

Self taught on local lakes and fields in and around North Conway N.H. and the Mount Washington Valley.

How much gear have you trashed?:

I try not to trash my gear. The one Charger and I go through a lot of skis.

Kiteboarding Ability:

Never ridden water. I've been riding snowkiting for about 12 yrs. Haven't sat on a chairlift in almost 10 yrs and I don't miss it.

Welcome Chris. Lots of us started out on snow then found out the season is a lot longer on water (although winds tend to be light in summer.) Where are you planning to kite?
