Quick question on Pine Point - what's the best spot to park? I've sessioned there a few times and parked at the main public lot, but it's sort of a hike. If you're going to be sessioning Pine this weekend and the forecast looks good, let me know.

I have always parked at the public lot. In the off-season you can basically set up right there, but this time of year do you end up walking to the right just to find open space. Typically the further down you go, the more side-shore the wind becomes. I've heard there are spots down towards OOB but have never tried it. The public lot also works well for after work sessions because they stop charging $ and the crowds thin out. You should contact Tom Michaud at tmichaud@maine.rr.com if you looking for more local info. He sends out periodic emails with local updates...since there is no MAINEkiting forum.
This weekend looks decent and I plan on kiting tomorrow. See you there!
