I grew up in the area born and raised. In 1995 I saw a guy with a cast on his foot and getting pulled down Nahant beach with a para foil type of kite and three wheeled buggy. When I saw that I wanted to try that. In 1996 I had a stack of Flexifoil stacker kites and used to moonjump down Revere Beach. Later that year I got my first four line foil kite followed by a kite buggy and so I was born into traction kiting. I excelled at it fast and travelled, raced on the dry lake beds of California and eventually got sponsored by JOJO Kites and Wings. In 1997 I started to use my traction kites and bought one of the first production kiteboards. In 1998 I began to really hone into kiteboarding and became the only kiteboarder in MA. Soon thereafter F-One kites showed up on Nahant beach and began selling kites. Since people were flocking to Nahant to see me kiteboard naturally everyone sought me out to help them learn and that's how I began teaching and have been doing it for more than 10 years.
